Gravity and Alchemy Buildings
Lincoln Science and Innovation Park

The development comprised construction of two three storey buildings delivered over two phases linked by a central lobby. Phase 1 consists the Alchemy building offering premium office, laboratory and technical space. Phase 2 consists the Gravity building which provides a high-tech premium office, designed and constructed for a specialist tenant in the security sector, whilst allowing a basis for future tenants to become a flexible easily adapted office space.

Our engineers worked collaboratively with Core Architects to deliver an efficient design steel superstructure, carefully co-ordinated to support the full height complex masonry cladding and green wall. Shallow reinforced foundations supported on vibro stone columns were utilised to minimise disturbance of existing contamination and obstructions.

Site levels and drainage were developed to suit proposed future phases and to tie-in with existing highway infrastructure. These works led to CDG being awarded the design commission for the overall LSIP masterplan infrastructure.
