Avonmouth Wind Farm
Avonmouth Wind Farm is a 4 turbine on shore project, constructed within Wessex Water’s sewage treatment plant, which serves over one million people in Bristol and the South West. Each turbine stands at 126m tall, and have a combined generation capacity of 8.2 MW, capable of generating sufficient renewable electricity to power approximately 5,232 UK homes.
Our team rose to the challenge of locating the new sub-station within the constrained site, by designing an elevated steel platform to support the structure, enabling co-ordination with, and future access to, strategic below ground infrastructure.
We provided the design for all site infrastructure, including unbound access roads, working platforms and temporary works.
